Question…
Quick post,
I am not normally this indecisive. I am about to start Mr. Greenjeans and I have 2 gorgeous yarns to choose from. Lorna's Laces Shepard worsted in RedRover and Malabrigo in Tuareg. Greenjeans is another wonderful Amy pattern and lucky me to live so close to Amy's yarn shop. Both are quite different and a lot brighter than the yarn used in the pattern. Which one do you think would look better?
Also never ending boy socks… they never end.

They're both such delicious yarns to knit with, there's no choosing between them that way. And Lorna's Laces do very good reds - Bittersweet makes my mouth water. But for my own vicarious purposes I think you should use the Malabrigo; I've gazed at Tuareg so often in online yarn shops, but I don't think I've seen it knitted up and I'd like to. And it would look fabulous with jeans.
I vote for Malabrigo unless you're a person who wears a lot of red well.
I am voting for the Malabrigo as well, I think that a blue version of that sweater would be amazing...have you looked on Ravelry to see either knit up?
Sandra (the other half of Make One)talked me into the red and Amy also recommended the Lorna's for the sweater. I look good in red, really good. But I also look great in blue and I am one of those people who live in jeans (although I'm loosing weight again, I keep having to hitch my jeans up). I may have to dig through all my stash to make absolutely sure I have enough Tuareg. Still need opinions I guess.
I prefer the color of the Malabrigo, but I suspect the Lorna's might knit up a bit better for this project. Decisions, decisions...
They are both gorgeous, but I like the red the best.
I vote for Malabrigo Tuareg!
Of course I'll vote for the Red Rover (have it as well for the same thing!!) as I thing it is an awesome color!!
Oh, man! Those are two of my favorite yarns ever. What a tough choice. I think I'd go with the Shepherd Worsted. The color is gorgeous, and it's drapier than the Malabrigo, which I think would make it work really well with that pattern.
I am so glad that I don't have to make this choice! I think I'd likely go with the Lorna's though, because you do look gorgeous in red, and because Amy recommended it, and because I love Lorna's with such passion.
The blue! The blue!!!!!! And rename it Mr.Bluejeans....
